The Maintenance Scheduler will prepare the daily schedules as well as maintain short-term and long-term maintenance work schedules utilizing the electronic CMMS. This individual will be responsible for tracking the completion of these schedules in the facility. This role will work with the production planners to schedule machinery downtime for maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for assigning the proper maintenance personnel to all required work, auditing work order statuses and requesting updates from owners to ensure timely work execution. This role is responsible for reconciling completed work order information with digital CMMS records. This role will also prepare and review weekly and monthly reports on schedule compliance with the maintenance staff.
Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, post, and maintain all maintenance workforce schedules
- Act as gatekeeper to approve or reject and prioritize all work requests; providing feedback to all departments
- Track daily, weekly and monthly schedule compliance and provide reports to management
- Conduct a weekly maintenance scheduling meeting with production to forecast agreed-upon schedule(s)
- Facilitate maintenance planning meetings with production or maintenance personnel
- Identify and propose opportunities to develop and improve job plans in EAM
- Fill in as a backup for other department roles completing auditing and tracking of work order documentation
- Participate in identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities across the site
- Complete any other job duties or tasks assigned
- Work alternative shifts, as needed, to document work to create accurate job plans
Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
- 2-5 years utilizing a Maintenance CMMS
EDUCATION
REQUIRED
- High School diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED
- Experience scheduling electronically with an EAM system
- Training in Maintenance Scheduling and Work Flow Process as well as Preventive/Predictive Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity
- Bachelors Degree or Associates degree or above in Maintenance Management or Mechanical Engineering.
