Project Information
- 3-month project assignment
- Work performed throughout an active barge yard
- Projects may include barges, docks, marine facilities, and on-land construction or repair projects
- Full-time hours with potential overtime based on project needs
Who You Are
You are a skilled pipefitter who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and safety. You have experience reading drawings, fitting pipe systems, and working in industrial or marine environments. You work efficiently, communicate clearly, and understand the importance of completing projects safely and on schedule. You are dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in changing job site conditions.
What You'll Do
- Lay out, fit, assemble, and install structural and process piping systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and isometric diagrams
- Measure, cut, bevel, and prepare pipe for installation
- Fit pipe sections, valves, flanges, and fittings according to project requirements
- Work closely with welders to ensure proper fit-up and alignment
- Assist with modifications, repairs, and maintenance of piping systems
- Perform field measurements and verify dimensions before installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, and pipefitting equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all OSHA, marine safety, and company safety regulations
- Wear required PPE at all times
What We're Looking For
- Previous pipefitting experience required
- Structural, industrial, marine, or shipyard experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Experience fitting carbon steel, stainless steel, or structural piping systems preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required
- Reliable transportation to the job site
- TWIC Card preferred
Experience
- Pipefitting: 3 years (Preferred)
- Marine, Industrial, or Structural Construction: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification
