We are a quick-service restaurant in Oakland, Pittsburgh focused on high-quality, to-go friendly comfort food. Our menu centers around chicken wings, tenders, and milkshakes, with an efficient, fast-paced kitchen designed to serve great food quickly.
We’re looking for reliable and hardworking Line Cooks / Prep Cooks / Grill team members to join our kitchen. The workflow is straightforward and efficient: bag → fryer → sauce → box. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in consistency and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Follow simple, consistent cooking procedures (bag → fryer → sauce → box)
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with meal preparation for daily service and catering events, ensuring timely delivery of quality food
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold safety standards in production and service
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and prep needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or culinary environment preferred; dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members
- Familiarity with restaurant or food industry operations, including meal prep and food handling procedures
- Catering experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn new skills is essential
