Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and efficiency
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques
- Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to ensure patient safety before, during, and after treatments
- Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry or pediatric dentistry is highly preferred
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, dental instrument processing, and chairside assisting
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation is essential
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is advantageous
- Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention practices is required
- Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety protocols
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral surgery and endodontics enhances your effectiveness in assisting clinicians
