If you have personal or professional experience supporting individuals with or without disabilities, we may have the job for you! We are looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who has a passion for helping others. Responsibilities include providing support with duties such as light housekeeping, preparing simple meals, shopping, scheduling and accompanying individuals to appointments, and organizing items such as mail, clothing, and medications.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support to help individuals live in their homes and communities, and achieve their goals.
We have an opening for
- Tuesday and Thursday Mornings (there is room for flexibility)- 3 hours each day
REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid MN driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance.
- Successfully pass a background check and driving record check
- Complete Vulnerable Adults Mandated Reporting Training
Work Location: In person- Saint Francis, MN 55070
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
- Encourage self-help activities.
- Reports changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor.
- Perform home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
- Organize clothes, mail, and meds.
- Support the client to create a resume and complete job applications
- Help the client to plan meals, shop for groceries,
- Accompany client to scheduled appointments, pharmacy visits or run local errands for the client.
- Help the client to schedule appointments.
Direct Support Professional Qualifications / Skills:
- Ability to work in clients’ homes
- Ability to communicate clearly (verbally and written)
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
