The Big Box Store Connectivity Representative generates revenue by training and teaching associates in our Big Box stores. This person will provide team product knowledge training and one on one coaching. This is a great position for a people person who enjoys teaching others. You will travel to our Home Depot stores focusing on forming relationships and training associates on what we do and how to sell our products. You make your own schedule and work your territory. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Connect with store associates. This is the most important part of this position!
· Help store associates by connecting them to answers.
· Teaching and Training Associates on how to sell countertops.
· Minimum of 3 Product knowledge training classes per week and 15-20 store calls per week.
· 2 Saturdays per month required.
Store Connectivity Representative Duties & Responsibilities:
- Filling out schedule in our system with detailed notes will be the reporting part of this position. Example: who you spoke to, what they need, what was discussed, why sales are down in this store etc.
- Attend any and all Roadshows.
- 30-minute weekly meeting with KAT Team via phone.
- You will be in charge of 56 stores. It will be up to you to strategize and formulate a route, making sure you are hitting all stores evenly. With the given area you will be in each store every 2-3 weeks.
- Material will be provided for making leave behind packets. It will be your responsibility to make these packets and keeping stores material up to date.
- Assessing our countertop wall at the stores to make sure everything is up to date and reporting back when things need to be adjusted, added or corrected.
- Keeping ample stock on all promotional material.
- For PK training classes you will provide cupcakes, cookies and other goodies.
- It will be up to you to study your craft. Make it your passion to learn the products we offer and the newest Home Depot and Lowes Trends.
- Learn the Design building tool at Home Depot so you can train Associates and help them feel more comfortable with selling projects.
- Keep store account info up to date in our system.
- Keep in contact with all Kitchen Designers, COS’s, SASM’s, and DSM’s while drumming up excitement about KAT and what we offer.
- Find new and exciting ways to reward your stores for sales.
- Send out confirmation emails and calendar invite’s to stores as to keep everyone informed.
- Send exciting follow up emails to stores providing any additional info or requests that came up during your visit. Snapping pictures at training classes is a great way to connect and brag on the associates.
Required Education and Experience
· Highschool Diploma or GED.
· Sales or teaching background will help in this position.
· Basic computer skills are required with experience with Excell and Word.
· Excellent communication skills a must.
Preferred Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· A minimum of two (2) years in a training, sales or teaching position.
· Demonstrated experience meeting sales goals, closing skills, prospecting skills, technical understanding, building relationships, people skills, customer focus, motivation for sales.
