Gem State Staffing in Twin Falls is seeking a full-time, seasonal Grain Elevator Operator position in Bliss. This position is responsible for performing operations tasks involving the receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping of grain.
Responsibilities:
- Perform at least six tasks in the operations area contributing to customer service, grain conditioning and general facility upkeep
- Operate various types of mobile equipment
- Treat seed
- Weighing trucks, product sampling and testing
- Handling/Receiving equipment and monitoring
- Inspect activities and identify any issues
- Data entry of delivery details
- General facility upkeep
Requirements:
- Self-motivated, self-directed personality
- Have 1-2 years’ of on the farm or agriculture experience required
- Basic experience operating heavy equipment (e.g. loader, tractor, forklift)
- Be amble to pass a math and mechanical test
- Basic comprehension of English, written and verbal
- Ability to work long hours over multiple, consecutive days
- Ability to repetitively stand, bend, twist, crouch, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to repetitively lift 50+ lbs.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and personal transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
Job type/duration: Full-time, seasonal through the fall; possible temporary-to-permanent
Pay rate: $20.00/hour, Depends On Experience
Schedule: Monday through Saturday, approx. 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM (during harvest)
Location: FT/Seasonal in Bliss
