Duties
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to minimize stress and ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under supervision according to veterinary protocols
- Support animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, cleaning enclosures, and maintaining a clean clinic environment
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized clinic environment through routine cleaning and disinfection procedures
- A significant portion of this roles involves cleaning/sanitation duties to maintain high standards of clinic cleanliness and infection control as well as animal restraint to ensure the flow of the clinic/treatments/appointments run smoothly
Skills
- Proven kennel experience and animal handling skills including cats and dogs preferred
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology preferred
- Ability to perform animal restraint effectively during examinations or treatments
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients professionally and empathetically
- Prior veterinary assistant or clinic experience is highly preferred

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
