Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Representative to join our holistic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient intake processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in various medical systems and a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding. The incumbant will play a crucial role in facilitating seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information. Visit with potential patients at their home.
- Review and maintain accurate patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epaces, EMR and others for data entry and management.
- Conduct insurance verification to ensure coverage for services rendered.
- Deliver excellent patient service through effective communication and phone etiquette.
- Support operations as needed, including handling inquiries and attending in-person team meetings & trainings.
Qualifications
- Bilingual
- Previous experience in sales.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar is highly desirable..
- Spanish, Russian and Yiddish languages are a plus
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
- Experience in case management or care coordination a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with patients and staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.83 - $25.70 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
