What you will do:
The role of the store assistant operating manager is to ensure the overall success and operation needs are met while supporting and providing leadership to the team members. The assistant manager enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can work efficiently under pressure. The assistant manager will work with and develop a team of baristas to provide exceptional customer service, quality drinks and desserts and clean environment. With a high reputation at Te’amo Organic, the assistant manager must possess a high sense of responsibility, quality, ethics, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Cost Management
- Oversee all daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and quality control.
- Monitor and control labor and food costs to meet profitability targets.
- Track inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock.
Team Leadership & Training
- Train, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Manage team performance evaluations.
- Coach staff on upselling techniques and service standards to enhance sales and customer experience.
Customer Experience & Sales Growth
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and resolving guest concerns.
- Drive product knowledge and upselling strategies to increase average ticket size.
- Implement promotional campaigns and support new product launches.
- Monitor customer reviews and ensure prompt follow-up on feedback.
Qualifications:
● 2+ years of management experience in a café or fast-casual food service setting.
● Food Manager Certification required.
● Provide on-going ability to drive sales and control costs
● Experience with training, developing, and motivating others
● Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
● Basic computer skills
● U.S. work authorization (required)
● Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
● Stand and walk constantly for entire shifts.
● Lift, carry, stack, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
