American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU night shift position requiring trauma and travel experience with a compact or OK RN license.

Work in the Medical ICU of a hospital setting
-
Care for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
-
Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)

Trauma and travel experience required
-
Active RN license (OK State Board or multistate compact/eNLC)
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
-
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
-
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
-
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
-
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and deliver competent nursing care
-
Document patient responses to interventions and treatments, and monitor physiological data
-
Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
-
Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
-
Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
-
Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
-
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
-
Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to strict compliance requirements

Returning travelers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
