Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises using CCTV surveillance systems and physical patrols to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Control access points utilizing access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by executing established procedures such as fire safety protocols, first aid, CPR, AED operation, and incident management.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and accuracy.
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as part of the screening process to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies to handle disputes professionally while maintaining safety.
- Operate specialized security equipment including firearms, Tasers, CCTV cameras, and other surveillance tools in accordance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external intervention while ensuring compliance with all security regulations.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies related to security operations.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by monitoring for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields demonstrating strong physical security skills.
- Valid certification in firearm handling, Taser use, CPR/AED certification, first aid training, and emergency response procedures.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
- Ability to perform background checks accurately and efficiently while adhering to privacy laws.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write comprehensive incident reports clearly and professionally.
- Strong conflict management skills with experience in de-escalation techniques in high-pressure situations.
- Physical fitness capable of performing patrolling duties involving long periods of standing or walking and heavy lifting when required.
- Familiarity with legal regulations governing security practices and compliance standards within the industry.
