Manufacturing Associate
Cuyahoga Precision Manufacturing is a growing precision machine shop seeking a responsible, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team as a CNC Machine Operator / Manufacturing Associate.
No previous machining or manufacturing experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn a skilled manufacturing trade and grow with the company. We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, pays attention to detail, works with urgency, and is willing to learn.
You will be trained to operate CNC machines, inspect manufactured parts, load material, monitor production, and assist with other manufacturing activities throughout the shop.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines after completing company-provided training
- Load raw material and unload finished parts from machines
- Start and monitor machine cycles
- Keep machines running efficiently throughout the shift
- Perform basic part inspections using gauges and measuring equipment after training
- Check parts at required intervals to ensure they meet quality requirements
- Follow work instructions, setup sheets, and production travelers
- Monitor machines for unusual sounds, tool wear, alarms, or other potential problems
- Promptly communicate machine, tooling, or quality problems to the appropriate person
- Make basic machine adjustments and tool changes after receiving proper training
- Record production quantities and inspection results accurately
- Remove chips, add coolant, and perform routine machine cleaning as required
- Assist with material handling, sorting, packaging, and other production activities
- Keep machines, tools, and surrounding work areas clean and organized
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Cross-train on multiple machines and manufacturing processes
- Assist in other areas of production when needed
- Work with urgency while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Qualifications
- No previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience required
- Willing and able to learn CNC machine operation and basic inspection procedures
- Responsible, dependable, and punctual
- Strong work ethic and willingness to stay productive throughout the workday
- Positive attitude and willingness to accept training and direction
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanically inclined or interested in learning how machines and manufacturing equipment work
- Comfortable working around machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Able to recognize when something does not look, sound, or operate correctly and ask for assistance
- Able to work independently after completing training
- Willing to work as part of a team and assist where needed
- Able to adapt as production priorities change
- Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities as skills develop
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an eight-hour shift
- Able to repeatedly lift, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
