Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across designated local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Unload freight efficiently using tipper equipment.
- Transport a variety of Recycled material such as Plastic, Card Board, Metal, Aluminum and C&D Trash from Manassas to Richmond and other locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate timely deliveries and pickups
- Manage multiple types of trucks such as dump trucks or tanker trailers depending on daily assignments
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL Class A license
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling and route driving in a local setting
- Familiarity with operating trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks is highly desirable
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures using forklifts or roll-off trucks
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to trucking, cargo securement, and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to navigate efficiently within urban or suburban areas while maintaining punctuality
- Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.
- Tanker and Hazmat endorsement's are a plus but not require.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
