Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence
- Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation to uphold hygiene standards
- Operate various cleaning machinery and equipment efficiently while maintaining proper maintenance routines
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention
- Engage in heavy lifting and manual handling activities following safe lifting practices to move furniture or cleaning supplies
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects, including specialized tasks like floor care or Porter services
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and understand chemical handling safety procedures
- Strong manual handling skills with experience in heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients or building occupants
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, safety protocols, and custodial best practices is highly desirable
