Job Summary
Responsible for creating a welcoming, engaging, and compliant first impression for every guest visiting New Día. This includes greeting customers, verifying identification, managing customer flow, maintaining awareness of activity inside and outside the store, and providing exceptional customer service to both guests and passersby. The Front Door Concierge serves as an ambassador for New Día and the Fenway neighborhood, sharing information about store offerings, promotions, events, and local attractions while ensuring all entry procedures are followed in accordance with company policies and Massachusetts cannabis regulations. The Front Door Concierge also supports store operations by maintaining a clean and organized storefront, addressing guest concerns, and collaborating with the retail team to ensure a seamless customer experience. Above all, the Front Door Concierge creates a safe, welcoming, and memorable first impression that drives guest satisfaction, reinforces New Día culture, and upholds all company policies and regulatory requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome every guest with a friendly, approachable, and energetic demeanor.
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all age verification requirements.
- Maintain a visible presence outside the store and be willing to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
- Share information about store promotions, products, events, and the unique New Día experience with guests and passersby.
- Possess and maintain strong knowledge of the Fenway neighborhood, including local attractions, restaurants, events, and amenities.
- Manage customer flow and wait times while maintaining security and compliance standards.
- Assist guests with questions and direct them to appropriate team members when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting storefront, entrance, sidewalk, and surrounding guest areas.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and empathy, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Collaborate with Budtenders, Team Leads, and management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain awareness of current cannabis products, promotions, and industry trends.
- Uphold New Día's culture, appearance standards, and customer service expectations at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or guest-facing experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when interacting with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with the Fenway area and surrounding attractions preferred.
- Knowledge of cannabis products and the willingness to continuously learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors throughout all seasons.
- TIPS Certification required.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
