Middle School Mathematics Teacher (Part-Time)
Sacred Heart School, a Catholic co-educational pre-kindergarten through eighth grade parochial school, is seeking a part-time Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education, a passion for mathematics, a love for working with middle school students, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and students to support student growth and strengthen the school community.
- Plan and deliver engaging middle school mathematics lessons that meet the academic needs of diverse learners.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques, resources, and technology to engage students and enhance learning.
- Incorporate curriculum standards, competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson planning and instruction.
- Provide meaningful assessment and feedback to support student achievement.
- Create a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Connecticut teaching license preferred.
- Strong mathematics content knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Sacred Heart School.
