Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using industry-standard techniques and equipment
- Maintain high standards of floor care, including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to ensure pristine surfaces
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and amenities to ensure guest comfort and operational efficiency
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks including trash removal, surface disinfection, and restroom sanitation with precision and care
- Assist with light maintenance duties as needed, including changing light bulbs or reporting repairs to management
- Support the overall cleanliness of the property by managing industrial cleaning tasks when necessary
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services; hotel or hospitality experience is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods
- Familiarity with housekeeping management practices and standards within a hospitality setting
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and moving supplies or equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Prior experience in hospitality or custodial roles is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
