Job Responsibilities:

Assistance with students with various disabilities in categorical classrooms

Knowledge of behavioral strategies
-
Work closely with teachers to collaborate on accommodations and IEP requirements
-
Assist classroom teachers with individual's instruction in core subjects
-
Successfully work in a team environment
-
Other duties as assigned

Good communications/collaboration skills with staff and studentsquirement:

60 credit hours

Associates degree or higher

Pass a competency test (ETS Parapro Assessment)
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
