Certified K–12 Teacher – ESE PreferredNonprofit Microschool | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and highly motivated Certified Teacher to join our nonprofit K–12 microschool. We are especially interested in candidates with Exceptional Student Education (ESE) experience or certification who are passionate about creating individualized, engaging, and supportive learning experiences for students.
Our microschool provides a more personalized educational environment with a strong focus on student growth, individualized instruction, and meeting the unique needs of every learner.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Provide instruction across core subjects, including ELA/reading, math, science, social studies, and other enrichment areas.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, behavioral, and developmental needs of individual students.
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Implement effective classroom and behavior-management strategies.
- Support students with autism, learning differences, and other exceptional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized learning strategies based on student needs and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and use performance data to guide instruction.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, assessments, and other required documentation.
- Incorporate educational technology and learning management systems (LMS) into instruction when appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for growth.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support student academic and social-emotional development.
- Foster student independence, confidence, critical thinking, and lifelong learning skills.
- Participate in curriculum planning, staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Qualifications
- Valid K–12 teaching certification or equivalent qualification.
- ESE certification or experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with students across multiple grade levels and diverse learning needs.
- Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or other exceptionalities is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, differentiated instruction, and classroom management.
- Ability to create engaging lessons that accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents, educators, and support staff.
- Comfortable using educational technology, LMS platforms, and digital learning tools.
- Passion for creating a supportive, student-centered learning environment.
