Your Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: Assemble a variety of new and refurbished slewing bearings. This is a 3rd shift position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assembly and inspection on all models of slewing bearings and other necessary assembly work
- Operate bridge crane, computer and programs, specialized hand tools, measuring equipment, etc.
- Must have ability to read and understand prints, work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Perform torque tests and various clearance measurements
- Keep inventory count of material
- Manage waste removal from department
- Communicate department needs with supervisor
- Work professionally with outside vendors and customers
- Maintain equipment and tools to proper working order
- Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed
- Perform 6S safety responsibilities in work area
- Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Effective communication skills required. Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware / software.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED. Previous machining experience and practices required. Blueprint and GD&T knowledge is necessary.
EXPORT CONTROL: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorizaton from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
HOURLY RATE: $30.96
