Responsibilities
- Assist customers with pawn loans, appraisals, and merchandise purchases, ensuring a positive experience.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about store merchandise and promote upselling opportunities.
- Maintain stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and organizing store displays to enhance visual appeal.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
- Supervise or assist in supervising staff members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer interactions.
- Support inventory management by tracking retail store product knowledge and assisting with stock replenishment.
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a pawn shop or grocery store environment, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable.
- Experience with POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and retail sales transactions.
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices.
- Supervising experience is a plus; leadership qualities are highly valued.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
