Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with menu planning to incorporate seasonal ingredients and dietary considerations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following proper food handling and safety procedures.
- Support food preparation activities for catering events, banquets, or special occasions.
- Use knife skills and culinary techniques to efficiently prepare ingredients and assemble dishes.
- Ensure all food is stored correctly, rotating stock to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Serve meals with professionalism, ensuring timely delivery and accommodating dietary restrictions when needed.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly desirable but required
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, especially for specialized meal prep environments.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices is essential.
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations enhances your suitability for this role.
- Strong knife skills, food preparation abilities, and attention to detail are important for success.
