Work Environment, Physical Demands and Child Safety:
This position may include a combination of in-office and remote work, based on operational needs. Workspace may be shared with other staff when on-site. All YMCA Staff are mandated by law to report child abuse and neglect to Child Protective Services. Such reports can be made verbally at 1-855-444-3911. Staff will also report suspected abuse or neglect to their supervisor, senior management, or Human Resources.

- Use listening skills in wellness consultations to guide members to experience a variety of fitness and wellness programs that match their goals
- Learn member names and welcome them personally
- Take members through EGYM circuit orientations and be able to make decisions on appropriate body mechanic adjustments to the machines based on individual’s capabilities or limitations
- Complete cleaning task expectations for shift
- Provide support during wellness programs and challenges as needed
- Promote facility policies and require suitable conduct from participants at all times
- Maintain a safe environment for all by remaining visible and available and report any problems or needs immediately to the Fitness Director
- Identify Wellness Center needs and communicate with Fitness Director to resolve issues regarding equipment, cleanliness, etc.
- Must adhere to all Wellness Center policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations
- Accountable to the Fitness Director for execution of Association policies and procedures.
- Be committed to the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee’s Child Abuse/Neglect Prevention efforts as a mandatory reporter
