About Us:
East-Tones Music School is a growing music education studio dedicated to inspiring students of all ages and skill levels through engaging, personalized instruction. We offer private lessons, while providing students with opportunities to perform through recitals, open mic nights, and recording sessions.
We are seeking passionate, reliable, and experienced Violin and Guitar Instructors to join our team as Independent Contractors.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about music education, enjoys working with students of all ages, and can create a positive, encouraging learning environment. Instructors will provide one-on-one private lessons while helping students build confidence, technique, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly private violin and/or guitar lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on each student's goals and abilities.
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with families when appropriate.
- Prepare students for recitals, performances, and other studio events.
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality for all scheduled lessons.
- Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment.
- Utilize effective teaching methods while adapting to different learning styles.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in violin and/or guitar performance.
- Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to teach beginner through intermediate students; advanced instruction is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Degree in Music or related field preferred but not required.
- Current music education students and performing musicians are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling based on instructor availability and student demand.
- Afternoon, evening, and weekend availability preferred.

Independent Contractor Status
This position is an Independent Contractor role. Instructors maintain control over their teaching methods and materials while working within East-Tones Music School's professional standards and scheduling systems.
