Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced medical imaging technology.
- Deliver comprehensive general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, prosthodontics, root canal therapy, and dental extractions with precision and care.
- Conduct specialized procedures including endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry to meet diverse patient needs.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment plans effectively with patients and team members.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols rigorously to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
- Use dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, documentation, and medical records management.
- Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness.
- Adhere strictly to healthcare diagnosis standards and stay updated on current developments in general dentistry practices.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment with a strong background in general dentistry procedures.
- Demonstrated proficiency with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for clinical documentation and practice management.
- Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry techniques and experience treating pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic technique standards, and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to interpret medical imaging accurately and apply anatomy knowledge effectively during diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and patient privacy.
