Full time Maintenance worker
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various of tasks on the property of the Trout Lake Abbey including operating farm equipment, groundskeeping, watering and irrigation, maintaining buildings and equipment, and caring for animals. A person who would like to work with our team, care for the land and the people.
1. Able to maintain plumbing, buildings and electrical systems
2. Feed and care for organic, pasture raised chickens. Collect and clean eggs to commercial standards.
3. Drive/operate/maintain farm equipment.
4. Plant, weed, nurture, and maintain a garden within organic requirements
5. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend down, and do general farming, landscaping and gardening for up to 8 hours per day.
6. Harvest and preserve farm produce.
7. Set up for and assist our Retreat guest as needed
8. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
9. Act in a kind and caring manner to all persons, beings, and the land. Be able to work without supervision and be productive. Also perform other duties as assigned.
