ASSISTANT MANAGER — Phone & Electronics Buying
Colorado Phone Buyer | Denver, CO | Part-time to Full-Time | 1099 Independent Contractor
$20/hr + $30 per-run driving stipend
You'll earn $20 an hour plus a $30 stipend every week for travel.

What You'll Do
Colorado Phone Buyer buys and resells phones and other consumer electronics directly from people in the Denver area. As Assistant Manager, you're running the day-to-day: evaluating devices, managing inventory, driving deals, and getting product moving.
- Driving to customer homes and public meetup spots to buy or pick up phones, tablets, and other electronics — customer picks the location, you show up and close it
- Evaluating devices on the spot — assessing condition, checking functionality, and making offers
- Managing and listing inventory on resale marketplaces (Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Swappa, and others)
- Pricing items competitively and adjusting listings as the market moves
- Negotiating purchase prices with sellers in person and over message
- Keeping inventory organized and tracked
What You Need
- Valid driver's license and proof of personal vehicle insurance (required)
- Reliable personal vehicle (required)
- Comfortable navigating the Denver metro area independently
- Sharp with numbers and honest with people
- Customer service or sales experience — preferred
- Phone/electronics resale experience — a plus, not required; we'll train the right person
MVR and background check required prior to start.
Pay and Benefits
- $20/hr — full-time hours, 1099 independent contractor classification
- $30 per-run driving stipend
- Health, vision, and dental insurance — eligible at 90 days
- No 401(k) match at this time
This role fits someone who:
- Currently drives for DoorDash, Uber, Instacart, or similar gig apps and wants to step up from per-delivery gig pay into a role with a real hourly rate, a driving stipend on top, and benefits — without giving up the 1099 flexibility they're used to
- Wants full-time, steady work but likes the flexibility and independence of contractor status over a traditional 9-to-5
- Is comfortable being on the road most of the day — driving to different homes and meetup spots rather than sitting behind a desk or counter
- Likes talking to people and can read a room — you're negotiating price and building trust with a stranger on their doorstep, every time
- Has a decent eye for value — or wants to develop one — spotting a phone's real condition and worth in under a minute
- Is self-directed and doesn't need someone standing over them; you're managing your own route, your own listings, your own day
- Wants a foot in the door of resale/e-commerce and is willing to learn the marketplace side (listing, pricing, adjusting) even without prior experience
- Values benefits (health/vision/dental) but doesn't need W-2 status to feel secure — this role gives you both without the traditional employee trade-offs
Not a fit for someone who wants a fixed desk job, dislikes driving, or needs constant supervision to stay on task
Physical Requirements: Regular driving throughout Denver metro; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
