Maintain confidentiality of student information. Maintain alert attention to the responsibility of student supervision. Demonstrate ability to work with various ability levels of students. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and directions in carrying out tasks and procedures related to instructional, behavioral, emergency and health-related plans and services. Assists with clerical tasks, housekeeping chores, and bulletin boards. Performs other duties as assigned.
In some settings, other duties may include but are not limited to: Delivering non-emergency health-related services as specified in student’s Health Treatment Plan, delivering emergency treatment procedures on students as needed, assisting in the safe and orderly mobilization of all students, including those physically disabled, to and from all school environments, actively assisting students in dressing, eating, toileting, positioning, and with matters relating to personal hygiene and/or health-related services (such as G-tube feedings and braces) and emergency plans, as needed. In the event of toilet accidents, may be required to change soiled clothing.)
