The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. CNAs play a vital role in promoting each resident's comfort, dignity, safety, and quality of life while assisting with daily living activities and supporting individualized care plans.
Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while preserving dignity and independence.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, positioning, and mobility.
Take and record vital signs accurately.
Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to the licensed nurse.
Assist with meal service and monitor food and fluid intake as directed.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies.
Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident needs with professionalism and compassion.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment.
Follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
Participate in care planning and team meetings as appropriate.
Demonstrate respect, professionalism, and teamwork in every interaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Current Montana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Ability to lift, transfer, push, or pull residents using proper body mechanics and lifting equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier transfers using appropriate equipment.
Ability to respond quickly to resident needs and emergencies.
