Overview
Iron City Studios is one of Alabama's leading school photography companies, serving schools across the Birmingham area and beyond.
We're looking for dependable, energetic people who enjoy working with students and school staff in a fast-paced environment. Every day is different—you might photograph elementary students one day, a high school the next, or assist with a special event or sports team.
This is much more than taking pictures. We're looking for professionals who enjoy working with people, can stay organized under pressure, and represent our company with confidence and professionalism.
No photography experience? That's okay.
We provide paid training and will teach you everything you need to know.
What You'll Do
- Photograph students as part of a professional school photography team
- Help create a positive, organized experience for students and school staff
- Set up and break down camera and lighting equipment
- Travel to schools throughout Central Alabama
- Maintain organization, efficiency, and attention to detail throughout the day
- Represent Iron City Studios professionally at every school and event
- Assist with sports, special events, and other photography assignments as needed

Schedule
- Part-time
- Weekday mornings required
- Some afternoons, evenings, and weekends during busy seasons
- Flexible scheduling available based on seasonal needs
Bonus (Not Required)
- Photography experience
- Experience working with children or schools
- Customer service or hospitality experience
- Experience with Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and transport photography equipment
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Comfortable working in multiple school locations throughout the Birmingham area
