Overview:
The Strategic Information Systems Manager (SISM) at RVCDF plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s modernization, systems administration, reporting alignment, vendor coordination, and internal information stewardship. This position helps RVCDF stabilize and maintain the systems, documentation, workflows, reporting structures, and knowledge practices needed to support scale, efficiency, and data-informed management.
This role works cross-functionally with executive leadership, program teams, operations staff, managed service providers, software vendors, data infrastructure partners, and modernization partners to ensure that RVCDF’s systems remain usable, documented, coordinated, and aligned with organizational priorities. The SISM supports internal administration across key platforms, including Airtable, SharePoint, LoanWell, DLM, Microsoft 365, reporting tools, and future integration infrastructure.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Information Systems Administration:
- Administer and maintain Airtable workspaces, tables, fields, views, interfaces, forms, automations, formulas, linked records, imports, and documentation practices.
- Support SharePoint structure, document organization, metadata practices, permissions logic, and document governance in coordination with managed IT support.
- Maintain system maps, workflow documentation, requirements records, system guides, and technical handoff materials.
- Support consistent system standards, including naming conventions, record IDs, status values, linked record rules, templates, and review cycles.
- Monitor system usability and coordinate updates that improve clarity, consistency, and staff access.
Service Delivery Systems Alignment:
- Maintain alignment across RVCDF’s core service delivery systems, including Client Intake, Technical Assistance, Fund Development, Loan Application, Loan Servicing, and Data, Intelligence, and Impact Reporting.
- Track how each service delivery system connects to Airtable, vendor platforms, SharePoint, reporting tools, documentation practices, and future integration infrastructure.
- Translate staff workflows, program needs, and leadership priorities into system requirements and documentation.
- Coordinate user feedback, workflow updates, and requirements refinement across service delivery areas.
- Support staff and leadership in using systems that reflect current workflows, reporting needs, and operational priorities.
Vendor and Partner Coordination:
- Serve as RVCDF’s internal coordinator for managed service providers, software vendors, data infrastructure partners, and modernization partners.
- Coordinate technical follow-up across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Airtable, LoanWell, DLM, reporting tools, and future data infrastructure.
- Track vendor questions, implementation needs, access issues, reporting needs, documentation needs, and system change requests.
- Maintain clear documentation of vendor decisions, technical requirements, system updates, and handoff responsibilities.
- Coordinate with internal staff and external partners to support timely resolution of systems, access, documentation, and reporting issues.
Reporting, Data, and Integration Readiness:
- Support reporting requirements across LoanWell, DLM, Airtable, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and future integration environments.
- Coordinate data definitions, reporting logic, dashboard requirements, validation routines, and quality assurance practices.
- Support read-only reporting access, export workflows, API discussions, data pipelines, and integration planning.
- Work with technical partners to translate organizational reporting needs into data infrastructure requirements.
- Support Data, Intelligence, and Impact Reporting as a decision-support function for leadership, board reporting, funder reporting, compliance, and impact measurement.
Documentation and Organizational Knowledge:
- Maintain documentation practices, requirements records, system guides, artifact libraries, workflow maps, and technical reference materials.
- Convert staff knowledge, workflow practices, reporting expectations, and executive priorities into durable organizational knowledge structures.
- Maintain documentation that supports system use, onboarding, governance, reporting, staff training, and long-term stewardship.
- Coordinate periodic review of system documentation, workflow maps, data definitions, and requirements.
- Support the organization’s ability to locate, understand, and use information across systems, teams, and reporting processes.
Staff Adoption and Learning Support:
- Support staff training, user guidance, system onboarding, workflow updates, and adoption practices.
- Maintain learning resources related to Airtable, SharePoint, documentation, reporting, data practices, AI-supported work, and system use.
- Coordinate staff feedback and translate adoption issues into system refinements.
- Support responsible AI use through clear prompts, review practices, privacy safeguards, documentation, and human validation routines.
- Help staff and managers use systems consistently as part of regular organizational operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Management, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience administering information systems, databases, workflow tools, or low-code/no-code platforms.
- Working knowledge of Airtable or comparable low-code/no-code platforms.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, and related productivity tools.
- Experience supporting documentation systems, reporting processes, workflow analysis, or systems implementation.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate between program needs, executive priorities, technical requirements, and staff workflows.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across staff, leadership, vendors, and technical partners.
- Commitment to RVCDF’s mission, CDFI values, community development, and equitable access to capital.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SharePoint administration, Microsoft 365 environments, permissions logic, document libraries, and metadata practices.
- Experience with data integration concepts, APIs, exports, reporting pipelines, dashboards, or data transformation workflows.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Zapier, or comparable integration and automation tools.
- Experience coordinating managed service providers, software vendors, consultants, or technical implementation partners.
- Familiarity with loan application systems, loan servicing systems, nonprofit operations, CDFIs, or mission-driven financial institutions.
- Experience creating requirements documentation, workflow maps, system guides, training materials, or technical handoff materials.
- Experience supporting staff adoption, system onboarding, user training, or organizational learning practices.
- Ability to support responsible AI use, documentation standards, and human validation practices.
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily office-based, with regular collaboration across RVCDF leadership, staff, vendors, and technical partners. Some hybrid work may be possible depending on organizational needs. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines, support system transitions, coordinate vendor work, or attend organizational events.
Compensation:
- Annual Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000
- Equivalent Hourly Range: $45.67 - $57.69
