What You'll Do as a Caregiver
As a Caregiver, you'll make a meaningful difference by helping clients remain safely and comfortably in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care, and mobility assistance
- Preparing meals and encouraging proper nutrition and hydration
- Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment
- Grocery shopping and running approved errands
- Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Assisting with organization and decluttering when appropriate
- Observing, documenting, and reporting changes in the client's condition
- Accurately documenting the care and services provided
- Building trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Working closely with the client's care team to ensure high-quality care
