Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and have experience in various construction tasks. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial builds, where attention to detail and craftsmanship are paramount. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform tasks such as cabinet installation, trim carpentry, and fixture installation.
- Work with masonry materials as needed for specific projects.
- Restore existing structures to improve functionality or aesthetics.
- Install roofing systems and siding as required by project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Familiarity with various carpentry tools and equipment.
- Experience with masonry work is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
