Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Manage and motivate the sales team through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, ordering, purchasing, and conducting regular stock audits to minimize shrinkage.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to foster loyalty and enhance the shopping experience.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, cash handling, pricing adjustments, and sales reporting with accuracy.
- Coordinate merchandising efforts by implementing visual displays that attract customers and promote products effectively.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and supporting their ongoing training & development.
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and maintain accurate store records to ensure operational integrity.
- Support marketing initiatives by executing promotional campaigns and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
- Demonstrate strong leadership in supervising shifts, managing budgets, overseeing operational management tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory or team management experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers effectively.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory control software, and basic math for cash handling and sales calculations.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts such as pricing strategies, budgeting, and sales analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities through effective time management and organizational skills.
- Experience with recruiting, employee orientation, training & development programs.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques, inventory management practices, and operational procedures.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards.
