Bates Hewett & Floyd is looking for a high-impact operations and growth leader to help take our agency to the next level.
We are a fast-growing insurance organization with strong momentum across personal lines, commercial lines, employee benefits, service teams, and producer support. We are looking for someone who can step in, bring structure, improve execution, support our people, and help the organization move into high gear.
This is a key leadership role for someone who understands how an insurance agency operates and knows how to align service, sales, people, process, and accountability. The right person will help us build the systems, teams, workflows, and leadership structure needed to grow into a $10M+ revenue organization.
What You’ll Do
The Director of Agency Operations & Growth will work closely with ownership, producers, account managers, service teams, and department leaders to improve the overall performance of the agency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and improve day-to-day operations across personal lines, commercial lines, employee benefits, and service departments
- Work with producers and service teams to improve communication, client experience, retention, and new business execution
- Help create scalable processes, workflows, and accountability systems as the agency grows
- Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement across the organization
- Support team leaders, account managers, producers, and administrative staff
- Help build a culture of performance, communication, ownership, and client service
- Develop reporting, metrics, and processes to track progress and improve results
- Assist with recruiting, training, team development, and role clarity
- Partner with leadership on growth strategy, operational planning, and execution
- Help move the agency from where it is today to the next stage of growth
Who We’re Looking For

- Experience in insurance agency operations, leadership, management, or team development
- A strong understanding of personal lines, commercial lines, employee benefits, or agency service teams
- The ability to work with both producers and service staff
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A process-driven mindset with the ability to improve systems without slowing down growth
- The confidence to hold people accountable while building trust and teamwork
- A growth mindset and desire to help build something bigger
- Experience helping an agency or business scale is a strong plus

Pay: $45,000.00 - $87,500.00 per year
