Job Description:
Xolo Spanish is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic Spanish Enrichment Teacher / Floater to join our team! This is a flexible, hybrid position perfect for someone passionate about language education who wants a reliable weekly teaching schedule combined with earning potential from covering extra classes.
- Schedule & Time Commitments Mandatory Teaching Shift: Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Session Structure: A 90-minute block that includes 60 minutes of active teaching, with a 15-minute arrival and dismissal buffer.
- Required Floater Availability: You must have your schedule blocked out on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM to stand ready to cover classes or program needs.
Compensation & Perks (1099 Independent Contractor):
- Guaranteed Weekly Stipend: You receive a guaranteed $70 stipend every week, regardless of whether you cover additional classes.
- Coverage Pay: If you take on a floater shift or cover an extra class during your available windows, you earn the full pay for that class on top of your weekly stipend! Per-Session Pay:
- Regular session pay ranges from $45 to $70 for each 90-minute session, depending on student enrollment.
Key Responsibilities Spanish Enrichment:
- Lead an engaging, interactive Spanish enrichment session for students every Tuesday (60 minutes of active teaching within the 90-minute block).
- Floater Duties: Support classrooms or cover additional classes as a hybrid floater during your blocked Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday availability windows (2:00 PM to 4:30 PM).
- Student Engagement: Create a fun, welcoming, and immersive learning environment that encourages children to embrace the Spanish language and culture.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficiency in Spanish (fluent or bilingual preferred).
- Experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or enrichment setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a positive, energetic attitude.
- Must be able to operate as a 1099 independent contractor.
- Must be able to commit to the required Tuesday teaching window and the weekday afternoon availability blocks.
