Job Description
On an ongoing basis, the Recruiter/Job Developer generates new business relationships by implementing effective sales and marketing strategies. The Recruiter/Job Developer will develop a portfolio of accounts with recurring, high-volume recruitment needs. He/she will be responsible for screening candidates based on the employer’s specifications. We are looking for someone with high energy with strong work ethics as our work environment is fast-paced and performance-based. As such, Account Managers are expected to meet monthly individual and team goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers in order to generate job opportunities for our job-seeker base
- Market job opportunities to job-seekers through one-on-one meetings and on-site recruitment events; high level of cold calling required
- Build a pipeline of qualified candidates to fill open positions, screen them according to the job requirements, refer them to interviews, and follow up with the employer
- Account Managers works closely with Career Advisors to determine the types of jobs that match the skills and qualifications of our job-seeker base
- The Account Manager develops individual assessment based on participant’s performance and reports on participant progress
- Provides instruction on workplace expectations to include behavior on the job, getting along with supervisors and co-workers, being reliable and on time.
- Motivates clients to take advantage of the wide array of education and career advancement services to include financial literacy.
- Conducts workshops on topics that increase clients’ chances of finding employment and career advancement including Resume Building, Mock Interviewing, Career Exploration, Business Communication and Business Etiquette.
- Continuously builds and implements an effective course curriculum for client’s successful completion of the job readiness training class to include hard skills training and soft skills training including time management, conflict resolution and workplace navigation.
- Collaborates with Business Services Manager to provide assistance with recruitment events.
- Supports a re-engagement and workforce process that is focused on improving educational and employment outcomes.
- Maintains client information and progress notes in client’s case records within CRM databases.
- Provides frequent updates to program staff on clients’ progress, needs, etc.
- Accompanies job-seekers on out of the office recruiting events and canvassing opportunities.
- Make ongoing follow-up calls with job-seekers and employers to determine employment status and satisfaction with services delivered.
- Provides timely interventions. Returns phone calls and reacts to situations in a timely manner. Returns client phone calls within 24 hours. Follows up on job leads within 48 hours. Meets with clients within one week prior to job starts and within three days after job starts.
- Meet performance expectations of 15 or more job placements per month and prepares weekly/monthly reports of results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum of five (3) years of experience conducting job development and placement activities
- 2-3 years experience in recruiting, sales, job development or account management a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven business environment
- Must have a positive outlook and get along well with others
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to motivate people
- Our company’s official dress code is Business Professional appearance and attire
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Presentation Software, and CRM software
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- Must be comfortable facilitating workshops with 10 - 30 people
- Results-oriented
Salary Range: $55k - $60k/Annually
