Do you love turning everyday moments into scroll-stopping content that actually brings people through the door?
Hemp & Tea Co is a Charlotte-based hemp dispensary and tea bar with multiple locations, focused on wellness, education, and community. We’re looking for a creative, reliable Content Creator & Social Media Specialist to capture the energy of our shops, tell our story, and help grow an engaged online community that turns followers into regulars.
This isn’t a “just post a photo and walk away” role. We want someone who understands short-form video, storytelling, branding, and how to use social media to bring real people into our stores. You’ll be a key part of our creative team, shaping how people discover Hemp & Tea Co online and in person.
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Charlotte, NC, averaging 30–40 hours per week, with regular time spent in our store locations capturing content.
What You’ll Do
- Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
- Film and edit high-quality short-form videos that highlight our products, teas, in-store experience, and team.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Runway, or similar tools to speed up content creation without sacrificing quality.
- Develop creative campaigns that increase followers, engagement, website visits, and in-store traffic.
- Capture content inside our stores, at events, during product launches, and behind the scenes with staff.
- Interview employees and customers, with permission, to create authentic and people-focused content.
- Stay up to date on social media trends and adapt them to fit the Hemp & Tea Co brand and audience.
- Write clear, compelling captions and calls to action.
- Collaborate with management to promote new products, educational content, promotions, and events.
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages when appropriate.
- Track basic analytics and use data to improve content performance over time.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has a track record of creating engaging content for personal brands, businesses, or both.
- Genuinely enjoys social media and keeps up with current trends on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Feels comfortable behind the camera and is willing to step in front of it when it helps tell the story.
- Knows how to use AI to improve creativity and productivity.
- Has strong video editing skills with a good sense of pacing, hooks, and storytelling.
- Is organized, dependable, and able to manage a content calendar without constant oversight.
- Can work independently while staying aligned with Hemp & Tea Co’s brand voice, visuals, and team goals.
- Has a strong eye for branding, design, and visual consistency across platforms.
- Is positive, outgoing, and enjoys interacting with people in a busy retail and tea bar environment.
Bonus Qualifications
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience growing business social media accounts.
- Photography or videography experience.
- Graphic design skills.
- Experience running Meta or TikTok ads.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or Premiere Pro.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and social media analytics.

- $18.50 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience, plus performance-based bonus.
