We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for maintaining our office buildings through a wide range of repair, maintenance, and property support activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs across multiple locations
- Coordinate office moves, furniture setup, and workspace outfitting
- Monitor cleaning services to ensure quality standards are met
- Conduct daily property checks (exterior conditions, trash, grounds, lighting)
- Perform routine upkeep including cleaning, light landscaping, and minor repairs
- Complete scheduled inspections (emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, alarm systems)
- Assist with painting, carpentry, and general improvements
- Support annual inspections and vendor coordination
- Handle snow removal at designated properties
- Participate in an on-call rotation for maintenance emergencies
- Report any safety concerns, damages, or unusual issues to management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4+ years of maintenance, facilities, or similar experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Professional and courteous with staff, tenants, and vendors
- Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude and reliable
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally more)
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Work Environment
- Combination of office, residential, and outdoor settings
- Moderate noise level typical of active workplaces
