CRAFTEC GLASS is a commercial glass & glazing contractor. We specialize in storefront, curtainwall, entrances, and interior and exterior glass. We primarily work in surrounding areas of Houston, San Antonio and Austin. We have a great culture and team and many of our employees have had long tenure with our company. The owners are second generation glass family and really care about their people. Our glaziers are OSHA certified and work under the strong leadership of general manager, operations manager, sr. superintendent and superintendent positions.
We are only looking for journeyman and foreman level glaziers with atleast 4 years of commercial glazing experience of storefronts and curtainwall systems.

Glazier Duties:
- Fabricate & Install storefronts (Kawneer, Oldcastle, YKK)
- Fabricate Install Curtainwall systems (Kawneer, Oldcastle, YKK)
- Proficient application of caulking, glazing sealants, and tapes
- Install break metal
- Read architectural blue prints, shop drawings and fab drawings
- Loading glass or mirror fittings onto delivery trucks for transport to the job site.
- Driving trucks to job sites and unloading glass and materials.
- Cleaning the job area once the glass has been installed and the client is satisfied.
- Interpreting blueprints to determine the shape, size, color, and thickness of glass for installation procedures.
- Operating hoists or cranes with suction cups to lift heavy glass units.
Preferred doors experience:
- Door hardware prep, storefront doors installs, herculite doors install
Must have own vehicle and all tools required for the job.
Successful candidates will be required to:
- Hold and maintain OSHA and Aerial Lift certifications.
- Be able to work safely from heights
- Be capable of lifting heavy glass.
- Must have valid drivers license
- Candidates are expected to possess and maintain basic tools
- At least 4 years experience as a Glazier or Foreman
- Be able to pass a background check
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
This full-time position includes competitive wages, paid time off. The majority of work is within the greater Houston area, with occasional travel to the Austin & San Antonio area. Pay is scaled according to experience and qualifications.
