The Recruiting Specialist acts as the curator of the Stride teammate journey. This role blends high-touch candidate advocacy with strategic sourcing to transform initial interest into a long-term commitment to our mission. You are responsible for identifying world-class RBTs and BCBAs (as needed), leveraging applicant tracking systems to ensure seamless communication, and ensuring every interaction reflects the supportive and insightful nature of the Stride brand.

Core Responsibilities
Service Excellence & Candidate Advocacy
- Serve as the primary advocate and professional face of Stride, maintaining an exceptional, high-touch communication standard (verbal and written) to ensure every candidate receives personalized updates within 24–48 hours and a best-in-class, "white-glove" experience.
- Operate as a true “Partner” by strategically collaborating with clinic leadership to align hiring efforts with clinical caseloads, ensuring every new hire is a strong cultural and clinical fit rather than just a filled seat.
- Continually audit and oversee the entire candidate journey to remove friction points and ensure a seamless transition from the initial application to the first day of orientation.
Sourcing Strategy & Systems Architecture
- Creatively source talent across varied channels including job boards, social media, and networking.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) as the "source of truth" to improve recruitment workflows and processes.
- Coordinate with local teams to schedule video interviews and facilitate second-round onsite evaluations.
- Leverage ATS automation and scheduling tools to remove administrative friction while maintaining a human touch.
- Provide the Director of Talent Acquisition with updates on recruitment needs and pipeline health.
Employer Branding & Outreach
- Champion and consistently represent Stride’s brand across all recruiting channels and interactions, ensuring a professional, authentic, and values-driven presence at events, on social media and in all candidate communications.
- Actively participate in job fairs, conferences, and in-house hiring events to build a community of prospective talent.
- Conduct internet research to stay ahead of market trends and talent availability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Candidate Engagement: Timely follow up on candidate applications.
- Quality Submission: Maintain screening quality to ensure clinic interview success.
- Talent on Deck: Proactively build and maintain a bench of qualified, engaged candidates.
- Retention Rate: Percentage of new hires reaching the 90-day milestone.
- Employer Branding: Consistent participation in employer branding efforts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of recruiting and onboarding experience required. Experience with human services organizations or healthcare preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Experience using a wide range of talent-sourcing channels and strong computer skills.
- Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, strong rapport-building abilities, and excellent time management.
- Attitude: Brings a positive, growth mindset approach to recruiting, with the ability to quickly learn, adapt and evolve as business needs and processes change.
- Mission Alignment: A deep-seated passion for healthcare and supporting individuals with special needs.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Environment: Primarily home-based with up to 25% travel to venues, colleges, and clinic locations in the Midwest (SD, IA, NE, IL).
- Physical: Must be able to maintain a focused presence at a workstation and utilize digital recruiting tools (ATS, social media, and video platforms).
