Postdoctoral Fellow / Psychological Associate - Supervised Path to Licensure
Lean Psychological PC (Lean Medical) - California
Compensation: $5,000/month guaranteed base ($60,000/year), with production-based earnings up to $120,000/year

Supervision: Weekly individual and group supervision with our licensed psychologists; psychiatrist on staff
Registration: California Registered Psychological Associate (formerly "Psychological Assistant")
We are an outpatient behavioral health practice serving children, adolescents and families across California. You will be supervised by one of our licensed psychologists, matched to your clinical interests and training goals.
We are now accepting applications from doctoral graduates seeking supervised professional experience toward California licensure.
The Role - Clinical and training opportunities:
- 6-20 hours of direct clinical care per week, scaling as your caseload builds toward full-time
- Weekly individual supervision with a licensed psychologist
- Weekly group supervision alongside the broader clinical team
- Didactics in evidence-based psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults
- Specialized training in adolescent and high-school-age clinical work - anxiety, depression, mood disorders, school stress, and family systems
- Training in ADHD assessment and psychological testing, including administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing
- Adult outpatient psychotherapy across a range of presentations
- Exposure to psychopharmacology through collaboration with our staff psychiatrist
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (PsyD or PhD) in clinical or counseling psychology, conferred or conferring before your start date
- Completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited internship
- Eligible to register with the California Board of Psychology as a Psychological Associate (we will support you through registration)
- Able to practice via telehealth and comfortable building rapport with kids and teens on video
- Self-directed, organized, and reliable with documentation
We hire our own. Fellows who perform well are offered licensed positions with Lean Medical at our standard clinician rates once they complete licensure.
