Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator working the third shift from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Responsibilities
- Operate various types of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanning tools to load, unload, and move materials efficiently.
- Safely load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of heavy and manual loads in accordance with OSHA and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment such as forklifts and material handling tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Manage inventory by accurately tracking materials using warehouse management systems (WMS), performing order picking, and maintaining precise stock records.
- Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation, preparing items for dispatch, and ensuring proper storage of goods.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols diligently, including manual handling procedures and equipment repair when necessary, to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as organizing materials for efficient storage and retrieval, supporting warehouse supervisor directives, and participating in safety audits.
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklift types including reach trucks, Hi-Lo’s, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and load & unload equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations and forklift safety protocols.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment when needed.
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes along with warehouse distribution practices is highly desirable.
