Duties
- Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced and appealing meal options
- Prepare and cook food items following established recipes and safety standards
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and food presentation
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene in all food production activities
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and managing serving stations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to safety standards in production and food safety management
- Use knife skills and slicing techniques accurately for food preparation tasks
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when restocking is needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary, culinary, or food service roles, including dietary aide or kitchen experience
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with the food industry, restaurant operations, or catering environments is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills and slicing techniques with attention to precision and safety
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety standards in production environments
- Excellent communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
- Demonstrated commitment to food handling best practices and food safety management
