We are looking for an experienced Sr. Human Resources Manager to support and optimize our global workforce across multiple countries, employment models, and time zones. This role will serve as a trusted People partner to employees, managers, and leadership while ensuring consistent, effective, and scalable HR operations.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a global, remote environment, is highly organized, and can balance operational excellence with strategic partnership. This person will manage day-to-day People operations, provide guidance to stakeholders, and ensure a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
Role Overview
The Sr. HR Manager will own core People Operations activities across Almond’s global workforce. This role requires a hands-on HR professional who can independently manage multiple priorities, partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide thoughtful guidance on employee matters, HR processes, and organizational needs.
This individual will be responsible for maintaining and improving HR operations, supporting managers and employees, coordinating global HR processes, and ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
Global People Operations
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers across multiple countries
- Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, including promotions, leave management, and employee changes
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and documentation
- Ensure HR processes and practices are consistently applied across regions
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, employee experience, and HR workflows
- Partner with internal stakeholders to address People-related needs and priorities
Employee Relations & Manager Support
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee-related matters, performance concerns and HR best practices
- Support employee relations matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment
- Coach managers through effective feedback, performance conversations, and employee development discussions
- Help ensure consistent application of company policies and practices
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees navigating workplace questions and concerns
Talent Acquisition Support
- Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting needs and hiring priorities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting processes, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, offer coordination, and onboarding
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Maintain recruiting workflows, documentation, and reporting
- Support workforce planning and hiring initiatives as needed
Performance Management & Employee Development
- Coordinate performance review cycles and related HR processes
- Support managers in setting goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance expectations
- Maintain performance management systems and documentation
- Support employee growth initiatives and career development efforts
- Identify opportunities to strengthen employee engagement and retention
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
- Support compensation processes including benchmarking, salary reviews, and employee changes
- Maintain compensation data and support internal equity initiatives
- Partner with Finance and external providers on payroll and employment administration
- Support global employee and contractor compensation processes
- Assist with maintaining accurate compensation records
Global Compliance & HR Administration
- Coordinate HR operations across multiple countries, employment types, and regulatory environments
- Partner with external legal, payroll, and compliance providers as needed
- Support employment documentation, contracts, and compliance requirements
- Maintain awareness of employment practices and requirements across relevant jurisdictions
- Ensure HR documentation and processes remain accurate and audit-ready
Culture & Employee Experience
- Support employee engagement initiatives and company culture programs
- Coordinate global employee communications, events, and engagement activities
- Help foster connection and collaboration within a remote-first workforce
- Gather employee feedback and recommend improvements to the employee experience
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive HR / People Operations experience
- Experience supporting global and/or distributed teams
- Experience managing HR operations in a startup, technology, or fast-moving environment
- Strong understanding of employee lifecycle management
- Experience supporting employee relations and coaching managers
- Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders independently
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting employees and contractors across multiple countries
- Experience in fintech, technology, SaaS, crypto/Web3, or financial services
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, payroll, and performance management systems (Rippling preferred)
- Experience partnering with executives and cross-functional leaders
- Experience working in a remote-first organization
- Experience maintaining HR processes during periods of organizational change
Salary Range:
90-100k per year
