United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the health care staffing industry, is seeking Direct Care Workers for part time, per diem and on-call assignments to work in residential group homes throughout the five boroughs.
Pay: $17.25 per hour
Responsibilities for the Direct Care Worker
- Provide a normalized, therapeutic, and safe environment.
- Promotes the positive self-esteem of residents in a home atmosphere through consistent positive interactions, support, encouragement, and unconditional respect of individual resident rights.
- Assist with the daily routine of the residence which may include meal preparation, lifting, transferring, medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living, transportation to medical appointments and behavioral interventions.
Requirements for the Direct Care Worker
- Must have experience working with children or adults with developmental delays.
- Must have up to date physical and PPD or X-Ray.
- NYS Driver’s license required for some sites
- High School Diploma
