Part-Time Theatre & Dance Teacher (Kindergarten–8th Grade)
Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and engaging Part-Time Theatre & Dance Teacher to inspire students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will foster confidence, creativity, collaboration, and self-expression through age-appropriate instruction in drama, movement, and performance. This teacher will create a joyful and inclusive learning environment while helping students develop communication, performance, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging theatre and dance classes for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Introduce students to acting, improvisation, storytelling, creative movement, choreography, stage presence, and performance techniques.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the developmental needs of various age groups.
- Direct and coordinate school performances, showcases, or theatrical productions as appropriate.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and respect.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Dance, Performing Arts, Arts Education, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience teaching children in elementary and/or middle school settings.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and cultivating a love of the performing arts.
- Ability to choreograph and direct student performances.
- Current background check and any state-required certifications (or ability to obtain them).
Position Details
- Status: Part-Time
- Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 8th Grade
- Schedule: Approximately 2 days per week Tuesday, Thursday preferred
- Reports To: Heads of School/Principal

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
