Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel and representation in various litigation matters, including personal injury cases, and statutory legal research.
- Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, motions, pleadings, and deposition summaries with precision and clarity.
- Conduct court depositions, trial preparation, and participate in courtroom proceedings as needed to advocate for clients effectively.
- Perform comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across diverse practice areas.
- Manage multiple cases efficiently through effective legal case management systems while maintaining meticulous records of all proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements and legal terms with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding case developments, legal options, and procedural requirements to ensure transparency and confidence.
Skills
- Extensive experience in a broad spectrum of legal fields including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, patent law, and employment law.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with proven advocacy in court depositions and trial settings.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for statutory and case law analysis.
- Excellent drafting skills for contracts, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Deep procedural knowledge of litigation processes from discovery through trial preparation.
- Ability to handle complex personal injury cases with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks including case management software and document organization.
- Effective client communication skills ensuring clarity on case status and legal strategies.
