Incoming Quality Inspector
Position Summary
The Incoming Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming materials and components from suppliers to ensure they meet company quality standards, engineering specifications, and purchase order requirements before entering the production process. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials, components, and products to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards

Accurately identify and document incoming materials and inspection status

Create and maintain inspection records and inspection lots within SAP or other ERP systems

Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and purchase order requirements

Record inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality documentation

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve material quality issues

Support supplier corrective action requests and supplier quality investigations as needed

Follow all applicable quality procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to incoming inspection and quality processes
Qualifications
Education & Experience

Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Minimum of 2 years of experience in incoming inspection, quality inspection, manufacturing, or a related technical role preferred

Technical Skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions

Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electronic components

Experience using SAP or other ERP systems is preferred

Familiarity with quality inspection processes and documentation practices

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
